In the end its activities like these willingly taken on by members of a pro life community that cause great confusion to me when dealing with questions such as the one posed by this meme. Granted, I do live in a VERY conservative area (rural Nebraska) and I guess other areas may not be so blessed.

  Hello! I'd like to voice my opinion on the subject! Attending a Catholic school, we have a right to life club. The club spends its time and fundraiser resources collecting and making donations to various families and charities in the area. The most prominent charity being Birthright, a charity that specifically helps young and struggling mothers care for their newborn children. The time is not spent protesting and lobbying as some would believe, in fact the only major protests we do are a prayer

We use fine metals because #1 they call attention to God's glory and #2 they help raise minds and hearts to God. The Pope's throne is a symbol of the authority he has over the Church on Earth, so that is something that is important and would be made out of gold, or at least gilded.
